Getting started

How do I use activity and the assistant in the studio?

Follow project changes and assistant tasks in the studio, check who requested each action, and give the PlanElec assistant instructions in your own words.

Activity & assistant brings your conversations and tasks with the PlanElec assistant together with confirmed project changes. The assistant is available to every signed-in user: it carries out instructions directly in the project, checks every change with the AREI self-check and keeps it ready as a single undo step. Confirmed team changes appear once project history is enabled for your account.

How do I open the panel?

Open a project in the studio. Use the switch at the bottom of the side mode bar (rail), the bot button on the right of the header, or ⌘J on a Mac / Ctrl+J. The panel opens beside the workspace; on narrow screens it appears as a sheet.

Use ⌘K / Ctrl+K to open command search. Then Send to assistant: “…” appears when your search has no matches or contains at least four words. Selecting it opens the panel and immediately sends the search text as a task.

Opening project history from the project menu or history button shows team activity in the studio. Outside the studio, it opens the separate history sheet.

What do the filters show?

The timeline groups entries by day, with the newest day first. Within a day, entries run from earliest to latest. The header also shows how many members are online.

FilterContent
AllLoaded project changes, assistant messages and actions.
TeamAll loaded project changes, including assistant changes requested by other team members.
AssistantAssistant conversations and actions, plus saved changes marked as originating from the assistant.

The filter bar appears when both history and assistant access are available. With access to just one area, its content appears directly. You can load older project changes. Where a target is available, View opens its current state, not a historical project copy.

How do I give and review a task?

  1. Type your question or describe the change you want in the input field.
  2. Select Send message or press Enter. Shift+Enter adds a new line.
  3. Review the response and action cards, including the tool, status and person who requested each action.
  4. If an action requires confirmation, review it and choose Confirm and run or Reject and cancel run.

Sending another message is disabled while a task is running. Cancel stops the running task; it does not automatically reverse changes already made.

How can I recognise an assistant change?

Each agent action appears with the person who requested it in the activity panel. Saved assistant changes have a bot tile and Assistant · on behalf of … in project history. The name identifies the member who gave the task, including when you review another member's changes. The marker remains visible with history access even without your own chat access.

Outside the studio, the history sheet shows a small bot icon next to the actor. Hover over it or focus it with the keyboard to read Assistant on behalf of …. Conversations and read-only actions are not saved project changes.

Can I undo an agent action?

Supported, completed project changes offer Undo on their action card. It is enabled only for the latest eligible change with a valid undo entry and matching project context. Answers, read-only actions and unsupported actions do not offer this option. A history entry alone is not a restore button. After undoing a change, check the action status and the project.
